MY COMPUTER WON'T TURN ON!

This sucks! I have to get my work/studies/game on done and my computer just won't power on/turn on/boot up. I've tried everything like pressing the on switch, checking the power cord and even trying a different outlet, but nothing is working! Could it be that there's something wrong with the motherboard?
